What ways do these videos add value to the song?
This song is called 'A-ha - Take on me'. I think that this video adds value because the it makes the view interested in the story line. Although, most of the video is hand drawings, and a mixture of real life scenes. This makes the video more interesting and the story line is easy to follow. Also this the part at the end of the video where 'Morten Harket' goes in and out of being himself into a drawing of himself, this effect is very complicated to do but it is very eye-catching to the audience. I also took back some audience feedback when watching this video and they said "watching the video was intriguing because of the story line". Some others said "before they knew it they was singing the song because it was so exceptional.
This song is called 'Sinead O Connor - Nothing Compares 2U'. I think that this video is one of a kind, very memorable and beautifully presented. Although, with most videos they have complicated scenes this just has beautiful face and some scenes of Paris."Nothing Compares 2 U" is a song originally written and composed by Prince for one of his side projects, the family. It was later made famous by Irish recording artist Sinead O'connor whose arrangement was released as the second single from her second studio album, I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got. This version, which O'Connor co-produced with Nellee Hooper , became a worldwide hit in 1990. A music video, which has been described as iconic, was shot and received heavy rotation on MTV. Its lyrics explore feelings of longing from an abandoned lover's point of view.
